It was Australia's biggest ever Triathlon team at the Paralympics for Australia and Lauren Parker proved the headline act winning Gold in the PTWC class.
But the journey to the finish line has been a long one for Parker who was an aspiring Triathlete before a severe training accident put her on a different track. Her room mate in Tokyo was Rio Triathlon Gold Medallist Katie Kelly and she knew the Gold medal had been a long time coming.
